if my transfer case is bad will it make the speedometer not work?

I have a 98 Bravada and the transfer case was bad in it. I purchased a used one from a junk yard with a 30 day warranty. Before the transfer cases were changed my speedometer worked as did my transmission. Since changing the transfer cases my speedometer dont work now and my truck wont shift from second gear. Could it be the transfer case is bad or is it another problem that suddenly developed from changing the transfer case? Also my service awd light is on now with the different transfer case in it?
