P1145 is a code triggered when ecm detects an out of range value in the intake Valve Timing Control position sensor circuit.  Check out this site that provides the location of sensor along with a definitive way to isolate the culprit (swapping with sensor on opposite of block) , if in fact, the sensor itself is at fault. If the code persists after this procedure, further TS will be necessary. Good luck.

I was able to correct the same code on my wife's 2001 PF yesteday using this method.  O'reily auto parts had the sensor p/n# BWD css1592  for about $74 bucks plus tax w/ a Ltd lifetime wrnty.   Online I found one for $38.

You may need to excersice a little extra patience when removing this sensor as the attached  "o" ring which rests inside the cylinder head makes for a snug fit. Work sensor straight out of the hole (wd40 might help) and avoid applying excessive leverage to any part of it.  Also, don't overtighten the bolt.
