First, while the engine running (idling), after it warms up, hook up a hand held vacuum pump if you have one, and apply vacuum to the EGR, causing it to open. If the car dies, than it might be your EGR check valve under your intake that is not requesting vacuum to the EGR.
My engine dies afre test. Is EGR check valve same as EGR valve?
