1998 Honda Civic EX, I get codes P0705 and P0706. what are the possible causes and fixes?

Hi there

Both of these codes are for the transmission range switch. This is mounted under the shift cable on the transmission and in most cases when you have these codes it needs to be replaced to resolve the issue. Sometimes just an adjustment is needed because the shift cable will stretch over time.
