Nissan P0138 code erased. P2A00 now showing .WHY?

Question

The P0138 showed pending. I erased the code,Mil light came back on.This time code was P2A00 and it was flashing.Do I need to follow a different procedure to clear my codes? 2006 Sentra 1.8S

It has something to do with the voltage that the o2 sensor reads. It should be around 1.5v. I have seen that the pre cat will clog causing the check engine light to go on reading p2a00. I am in the process of fixing my 2006 nissan pathfinder.
