does the p007 code on my dodge intrepid sxt pertain to the overdrive?

the code can be reset and goes away and the car again drives great. But, it will return and when that happens the transmission is what seems to be affected. The car does not down shift well and it seems to get stuck in 1st gear. My husband says its the overdrive.

Are you sure the code is P007?

OBDII code usually have P and four numbers. Could you please let us know what is the correct code, also what year is your Dodge Intrepid?
