My 2000 Saturn LS2 3.0L failed emission, test result says P0030 - manufacturer-specific code. What does that mean?

This code is for the heater control circuit on the bank 1 O2 sensor. This is the first sensor on bank 1. In most cases the sensor itself is the cause of the code. The heater element inside the O2 sensor burns out and the sensor has to be replaced.
