I got the P1406 code on my 2004 Ford Thunderbird 3.9L. How to resolve this code?

pull egr value out and see if it is stuck open or closed. .most common causes are built up carbon that makes vaule stick and in terms sets code if doesn't work check conector for open or short to sensor ..if good most likely sensor has failed replace and reset ..should be good..also wouldn't be bad idea to run some good gas treatment through the car ..
