1996 Ford Ranger with ICV code, does that mean idle control valve?

Hi there,

The IAC valve is mounted to the throttle body and controls the idle.Many times the pintal that adjusts electronically will get covered in varnish and won't move. Sometimes you can clean it up with carb cleaner and it will work.
