P0708 FORD - ESCAPE

Question

Hi all, I have an 04 Ford Escape V6 and the code read P0708. I know that it means transmission range sensor high input. what i don't know is if that means i need to replace it all together or is there something I can do to fix it myself without having to buy the part? The car has less than 30000 miles and i bought it brand new..... ant afford to have it go out now

My 2000 Ford Ranger with V6 engine check light reads  "Transmission Range Circuit High Input #0708". So how do I fix that.

 

About a year ago it read 0705. I replaced the sensor and the Check Engine light went out.  So now what I do about 0708 ?
