On my 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, how do I troubleshoot the P0442 EVAP Emissions System Small leak?

These can be tricky because you have to find such a tiny hole.Usually what you need to do is have a smoke test done. This will locate the pin hole leak, then you can do the repair yourself. Also, check the gas cap, if it's seal is bad, or if there is rust around the fill tube where it seals you might get this code.
