Have a 2000 GMC Duramax Diesel and have error code P0231 can you please tell me what that is?

Question

The vehicle was an Aleaska Pipeline service rig that I just bought at auction, it is a GMC Diesel cargo van 1 ton with a 6.5 durmax diesel, also it was special manufactured by Quigley 4x4. So I also can not find a service manual or owners manual for the vehicle, can you provide me with any information with regards to that? The VIN#16THG39F5Y1253148
