How do I correct this code P0449 on a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or where I can carry it to be fixed?

Hi there,

The P0449 code is caused most often by a faulty canister vent control valve. This is mounted to the fram of the truck near the charcoal canister. This repair can be performed by most repair shops and the truck is safe to drive even with the check engine light on.
