I have a electronic starter in my car. Lately on subzero days it doesn't want to start. After trying a couple times, I will have to go outside and manually start it. Doing this I've had to press on the gas pedal to start my car. This has happened about 4 or 5 times. Will doing this on a fuel injection vehicle, cause a P0302 diagnostic reading and/or damage my engine? Thank you
Hi there,
This code indicates a misfire on cylinder 2. There can be damage caused by the misfire to the catalytic converter, but not the engine. The misfire is due to a bad plug/coil/injector. Here is some more info for you.
