Question

Hi my friend has an 07\\' Golf 1.9tdi broke dwn yesterday and through the fault light on the dash. The car then proceeded to drive for a further 2-3miles hesitating for power and idleing.My basic code reader has given me \\" fuel temperature sensor a circuit low\\" I\\'ve have since replaced the sensor in the engine bay turned the light off and ran the engine but the light came Back on upon switch the engine off and then back on but dosen\\'t seem to be runing different any ideas I would much appreciate gretly thank you
