P0420 code after new cat

Question

2001 mx5 1.8. Had the p0420 code come up again after a new cat. Garage has said the 02 sensors are working correctly and speaking to the ecu, any ideas has to why this code has come back after having a new (pattern part) cat fitted, Car drives totally fine and drives well
