My Ford with code P1340, how do you fix this?

This code is for the camshaft position sensor on bank 2. Most of the time the sensor is the issue and replacing it will resolve the problem. It's also possible there could be a mechanical timing issue with the vehicle or wiring problem to the cam sensor, but the most common problem is the sensor itself.
