1999 Infiniti I30 3.0L, what is a knock sensor circuit 1 (bank 1 or single sensor)?

The knock sensor is located under the intake manifold. It is bolted to the engine block under the lower intake. This code will not turn the check engine light on and is only there to prevent unleaded fuel ping by advancing the timing.
