What is wrong with my car?

I have a 1999 Honda Accord Ex, recently I had a problem with it (it wouldn’t start). After a visit to the mechanic the car shows up the code P1382 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit No signal. Mechanic suggests changing the distributor so we add a brand new distributor. Car starts, runs like a charm but has the check engine light turned on and we tried re-setting the computer but it just comes back on showing same code, any help, tips or suggestions?

I would double check the timing. Also, check and add a ground to the distributor if needed. It's possible the new distributor is no good as well. Here is some useful info for you as well.
