Question

2003 Nissan Maxima SE airbag crash sensor flashes 1 long flash and 6 quick flashes. Can you tell me what the fault is?

This is for the crash zone sensor in the front of the car. Technically it is only 6 flashes. Need to check the sensor, and the wiring.

Can you tell me where to locate the sensor?  i will disconnect battery power prior to touching anything.

Located in the front of the car where the latch assembly for the hood is. Just below it. Wait at least 10 minutes after you disconnect the battery before removing it.

I brought it in to the dealer and they said it is the crash sensor and that it will cost $550 to replace!  does this sound right?  seems crazy high...
