How long does it take for the throttle body position sensor to take adjust to the car?#throt

Question

I just got the throttle body position sensor put in and have been driving it for two days. How long should it take to adjust back to the car? The rpms are coming down but still goes up when I put the car back into park after driving it. Thank you in advance for your help.
