On my 1997 Chevrolet Camaro V6 what does P1406 code means?

This code means the egr pintal position is wrong.

Most common cause is either the egr valve or a blockage in the egr tube. If the tube is blocked you can usually clean it out with carb cleaner and a coat hanger.
