i have a 96 maxima and im getting the cylinder # 4 misfire code so i replaced the sparkplug and coil and the code is still there what else could it be

Could be a fuel injector. Did you get a new ignition coil? try swapping the coil and plug to another cylinder to see if the codes follows the coil.
