I have an 06 escape 3.0 2wd with the dreaded CD4E. Once warm, it hangs in first gear as though the shifter is in first until I "coax' it. Happens even when I manually shift. Performs ok other than that. When it does shift into second, there is no bad slip or "neutral" condition. Trans looks fresh. 2-4 band is perfect. Car has 200k miles. Fluid changed twice plus half bottle of Lucas trans fix. Original fluid was pretty dirty, but I've seen worse. Looked like someone did a rebuild without flushing the cooler. Or maybe ran it low once. But it didn't smell horribly burnt or show debris. Valve body still in car looks clean as well. I'm thinking servo, valve body, sensors. Anyone seen this problem?

Vehicle: 06 Ford escape 3.0
