P0523 JEEP - no check engine or odb light on

i discovered that code out of the blue as i did the 4 key turn without starting to random check the car, it turns out the p0523 code is on, i had my gage down 3 month ago the mechanic played with it and it came to normal maybe this is the reason why i hav no check engine or any other warning light on?

Hi there

This code is for the oil pressure sensor. If the engine was low on oil at some point or if the sensor had a bad connection on it that caused the gauge not to work, then this is an old stored code and that is why the light isn't on. Once the issue was repaired then the light would go out because the code wouldn't be current.
