Help! I have had this code for a little while now but I kind of ignored it until a few days ago it's getting progressively worse to where it will hesitate when accelerating and I slightly take my foot off the pedal and put it back down it will seem to stall (while driving) and I've even noticed a battery light come on and then it will kick back on and run fine again but it's happened about 7 times now over the course of a few days. I've also noticed my gas mileage jump and drop. Please help I have a rusty filler and gas cap is not quite secure but would it cause my truck to stall like that? Not sure if it was a misfire or stall honestly.

Thank you. I was actually thinking that this was the culprit. Hence the battery light and loss of power. Your answer confirmed my suspicions. I appreciate your help. I'll let you know how it goes.

All the problems you have, hesitation, stall, battery light, are probably for something else. The P0443  (EVAP Purge Control Circuit) won't cause all those symptoms.

From what you described, sound like you may have a faulty alternator.
