2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5L Code P0448

Question

Hi, im getting p0448, checked wiring for shorts have continuity from canister to ecu . Replaced canister, still throws code. Checked filler tube, hoses..what am i missing...need fixed to pass emmisions

Hi there

This code is for the vent control valve. To check the wiring, go under the dash on the passenger side and connect the bright green connector. Then turn the key on. This will cycle the vent control valve and all the other solenoids on the car. If the valve isn't cycling, and the wiring is good, the problem is with the computer. If it's cycling, then I would have a smoke test done to check for a leak in the system. Even though the computer is identifying it as the vent control valve, it could be leaking someplace else.
