I have a PO420 code coming up on scan tool, pending and confirmed. I just had a P2096 code come up pending, then disappeared. Could this be a faulty O2 sensor, and could this trigger the PO420 code?

Hi there

In this case it is possible the rear sensor is having some affect on the converter. If it's reading lean, then the computer might mix more fuel to try and off set the condition. This could bring about the converter code. I would replace the rear sensor on bank 1 first to try and resolve both codes.
