2008 ford fusion cranks but wont start has P0772 code.

Question

Car was running fine 2 days ago. Oil was changed 2 days ago as well. Full gas tank level. Started running erratically and then died. Now will not start, and gas odor is detected when cranking and attempting to start.

Hi there

This code is for shift solenoid E in the transmission. This can be the result of low or dirty transmission fluid or a problem with the shift solenoid. This is not going to prevent the car from starting sorry to say.
