Not only am I getting p0171 but intermittently car is hard to start and I get addition code of p0015.P0015 only shows up when car is hard to start. Pumps of the gas pedal gets it started.

P0015 is a straight repair where the cause is the camshaft actuator solenoid, and as a rule you replace it in pairs P0015 is for the exhaust valve timing and you would do the intake OCV as well. P0015 there no need to set a P0171 which is a lean code condition. Toyota has a TSB about this code its for a P0015 and a P0017 check the TSB out

Introduction

Some 2010 - 2011 model year Camry and 2009 - 2011 model year RAV4 vehicles equipped with the 2AR-FE engine may exhibit one or more of the following conditions:

^ MIL "ON" with DTC P0015 and/or P0017 setting

^ P0015 - Camshaft position "B" - Timing over-retarded (Bank 1)

^ P0017 - Crankshaft position - Camshaftposition correlation (Bank 1 Sensor B) Rattle noise from the engine

Follow the repair procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.
