my cadillac had intermittent skip. caddy dealer shop said bad cam sensor so they changed cam sensor, cam solenoid, cam magnet, problem was still there, they still changed plugs and wires and problem still there but not as bad. cel still comes on at times and shows code p0341 what is cam sensor still. park or drive truck and light goes back off. could a bad ign coil getting weak be causing this problem because it seems to run better cold and get worse as engine heats up.

Vehicle: 2008, cadillac, escalade, ext, 6.2

No, a bad coil or sparkplug is not going to set a camshaft position code, On some Manufacture it would be yes, But not the Cadillac, when P0341 sets the ECM commands the camshaft actuator to the park position and the ignition system defaults to a limp home mode. This repair is strickly to test the circuit of the camshaft sensor P0341 you have a 5 volt short to voltage, If the camshaft has a short to ground there will be other codes that would set such as the MAP sensor, or the EVAP pressure sensor. This code has to be determine if it is a short to ground or short to power.
