My 2001, BMW 525i (E39) have this error, i've changed the sensor, but stil have the problem, the car idle its irregular, and if i trothlle and take it off, the motor goes off!
The error its P0344, and appears always...anyone help please? Check engine light always off.

There is no way this would be a camshaft sensor problem You set a P0344 because of rationality, If the idle is irregular this is considered a rough idle, This vehicle has a MAF air duct, that air duct check it for torn or big rips that would allow false air in. You car is not breathing right. this is why you check the MAF (mass air flow ) air duct check it for rips and tears

​ Here a typical MAF air duct the MAF sensor on this engine is attached ahead of the throttle body if there is a torn or rip the engine would have a irregular idle and if I accelerate the engine would stall, On your BMW you need to check the air duct
