I had an ignition key programed and engine cranks fails to start

I used original key after l found it, the locksmith, said that key is not programmed anymore, the vehicle started and ran well before key was made and programmed, The distributer is new

When the key is inserted watch the security light for signs of blinking, If it stop withing 5 seconds it accepted the key, When the engine fails to start after cranking it can set a camshaft position code and a anti theft code.
