The location of the purge control solenoid, for the AWD should be top left side will look like this

If the purge solenoid was the cause the fuel trim on the long term would be above +5 somewhat +7 plugging it and the fuel trim goes to a correction, then the problem would be the purge But also check this recall that Ford has out about it
