how can it be determined what sensor it actually is

We got the code message of P1135 and we have determined the part, but do nit know what sensor it it that needs to be fixed/ changed

This code is for the heater circuit on the bank 1 sensor 1 O2 sensor. This is the O2 sensor BEFORE the catalytic converter on the engine. It's very common for the heater element to fail in the sensor and usually replacing the sensor will resolve the problem.
