code P1720

Question

Will code p1720 cause my 2003 BMW 745LI to stall after running for 10-15 minutes? Will start back up but continue to stall. I can clear codes and run car, only p1720 keep appearing. Any ideas? Car is charging at 14 volts

When P1720 is set it is set within 20 seconds of the drive cycle,there no way this is the cause of the stalling, what P1720 really is when it is seen is a fail safe of the transmission because of the stalling, let say the fuel pump is causing the engine to stall , a P1720 would set, Recheck for code see if a CAN error message is set, and a CAN signal failure, if those are set check the pins on the transmission harness connector some of those gets pushed back, either way check the transmission harness connection for back out pins,
