U0101 when the communication trouble code is set, the transmission will go into a default mode. Can you drive with this code it all depends , there is a active U code, a history U code, Comunication U code set for a variety of reason. if there is no symptoms it would erase itself. So as long as it is not a active code yes you can drive it.
