I hit some really bad chatter bumps on a dirt road and drive for a few more seconds then i lost (f) and (r) gears. Even if i try to put in 4 wheel drive had nothing. No slipping.. Had transmission rebuild about 2 yrs ago. seem strange to lose both at same time. Does that code mean the sensor is bad?

Hi there

This code is for a high circuit on the transmission range sensor.

Possible causes for this are a faulty range/park/neutral switch on the transmission or a misadjusted switch. It can also be an issue with the wiring to the sensor and it will affect the 4x4 as well.
