Evap code ?

Question

2007 jeep liberty with an evap leak. I put low psi air into the evap system from the solenoid evap line in the engine compartment and air rushes out through the fresh air filter by the fuel filler. should this happen or is there a problem with the LDP or a solenoid by the gas tank ?

You can not just put air in there , you would have to know what is the command for the evap is at, If you fill the the fuel tank the evap is open, this would allow you to refuel the tank. if it closes at this time the gas pump would just shut off and there would be a difficult time to refuel the tank. Do your test in 2 separate ways engine off, and engine running. Both at operating temperature
