I replaced the fuel pump and now i am getting this po450 code the truck cranks but will not start.

Question

I folowed the wire guide that came with the new fuel pump now the old one had the wires as follows orange/ gray/ purple/ black the new pump came with the wires as follows black / gray/ purple/ black. Confused yes this is the second pump I've replaced.

P0450 this code is for the fuel tank pressure sensor, the sensor that is on the top of the fuel pump module, The new wiring does not connect to this sensor at all. On the original fuel pump the gray wire is for the fuel pump power,the black is for the ground, When you install the new terminal end kit you place the pigtail with each other , the power wire to power terminal, the ground wire to ground wire, the sensor wire to sensor wire. it is not confusing, ignore the color of the new terminal,
