Could the gas cap be the cause of this code

Question

the check engine light came on when I remote started my car and it shut off after about a minute the code is p0496 also are you aware of any electrical issues with the 2015 sonic. I don't have a back up camera and when in reverse it shows a error message for the camera.also the stereo controls on the steering wheel works once in a great while. Thank you in advance

This maybe not ever close to a problem you have. But I read that you have issues with your stereo at times. I to have issues with my stereo off and on. I have to watch how u turn my key to start car.

P0496 this would not be caused by a faulty fuel cap, this is more electrical , problem.
