Fuel consumption impact?

I'd like to know if P0420 on '04 Murano has an impact on fuel consumption? Tks

This code is for the bank 1 catalytic converter. If the converter is plugged up it can cause fuel consumption issues. That being said, if the engine is burning rich, misfiring or running rough, it can cause the converter code to appear.
