I understand that it is bank 2 and that has to do with cylinders 2,4,6, but I'm not sure which sensor to buy or where it is. Are there two sensors in bank 2 and 2 in bank one? Is bank 2 considered the down stream and bank 1 the intake?
Thanks!

For your 2004 Toyota 4Runner V6, the "Bank 2" is the driver side and "Bank 1"  is the passenger side. Each bank has two (2) sensors. one Front (Uptream) and one Rear (Downstream).

The Front Oxygen Sensors (O2) had some changes lately and now are called Air/Fue (A/F) Ratio Sensor.

The P2242 code refers to the Air/Fue (A/F) Ratio Sensor Bank 2 (Also called Front or Upstream Sensor Bank 2)
