P0183 ford S-max 2006 1.8tdci change the fuel temperature sensor and stiil the fault is on on obd2.whats should be my next step.. the car sometimes has black smoke from the exaust.

HI there

The next step has to be checking the wiring from the sensor to the computer. check for power and that it's showing resistance right at the computer. It would be best to have a scan tool to see the live data, but it sounds like a wiring issue or possibly a problem with the computer itself.
