My ford f150xl 2000 4.2l it losing power and it have very slow pick up

My Ford F-150 truck 2000 my service light is on and it is losing pick up speed it running very roughly not pick up

This is almost as though you have a plugged exhaust system. You can confirm this if you loosens the exhaust prior to the catalytic convertor if there is a noticeable amount of power you can be up against a plugged catalytic, Being a 4.2 engine the code that is set  will help point the right direction
