Approx. Cost to repair the 3 way catalytic convertor

Buick Lucerne 2008 3.5 V6...would this cause the engine to stall and not restart?

No this would not cause the engine to stall out and not restart, The whole purpose of the CK ENG LT is to protect the catalytic convertor, If the catalytic convertor or even the exhaust was plugged, you would have no acceleration power, and probably a stalling condition, but it would restart. So no something else is causing the stalling condition, it more than likely a fuel related problem
