Po785 code

Question

My 97 chevy truck engine code po785 comes on and the transmission won't shift or go into overdrive ? If i clear the code it shifts great for just a few minutes. Than service engine light & ABS light are on. Where do i start?

This code is for the 3-2 shift solenoid. Many times low or dirty transmission fluid can cause the code to appear. It can also be an electrical issue with the solenoid itself. Here is some more info on the code. The ABS light would be a different issue and the codes would have to be retrieved from the ABS module.
