What this mean? Is this a major concern?

The check engine light was on , had it tested. But by a friend's diagnostic tester. Should this be a major concern. The light went out for now.

The code means that there was a problem with the EVAP system ( Emissions related ). If you do not repair the problem, you may experience a gas smell and your vehicle could fail the state emissions test ( if you live in a state that requires emissions test).

If the light is out right now, then don't do any repair until the light comes back ON.
