How can i figure out whats wrong with my acura?

Hello, i received 2 different codes and i can't figure out what is wrong with my car. 2001 acura cl type s. Codes P0171 and P0170 just replaced fuel pump & filter and fuel pump relay. The car doesn't want to start but it will start up if i hold my hand over the throttle body preventing it from getting alot of air. It'll hold back alot as im driving feeling really sluggish and sputtering

Hi there

Both of these codes indicate a lean fuel mixture. The code can be brought on by a bad vacuum leak or a bad mass air flow sensor. Since if you cover the throttle the car will run better, I would look for a vacuum leak around the intake. if none are found, the maf sensor is the likely culprit.
