2007 Mazda 6 P0011 code timing too far advanced

Question

Recently changed the engine put a junkyard engine in. Got a P code of P0011. Car runs fine checked timing it does appear to be off a little bit. Reset the light and car starts up and will oil fine with no check engine light, idol up a couple of times and it trips the check engine light. Changed VVT actuator and problem still exists

P0011 CMP timing over advanced

P0011 is more a mechanical condition , if a timing chain which your vehicle has if its worn to point that it becomes loose, the cam timing becomes advanced. The only way the VCT solenoid can cause a P0011 is if it is stuck open.
